The crew at North Berwick Lumber Company wishes all their customers, contractors, suppliers, friends and family a very happy holiday!

Thank you for making our 60th year one to remember!

North Berwick Lumber is pleased to announce that we now carry Weather Shield!  Weather Shield has been making doors and windows since 1955.  Recent construction that has used Weather Shield includes owner Don Thompson’s house in Rangeley, Maine.  Air-tight, sturdy in the face of harsh and changeable elements, and visually stunning, Weather  Shield windows are top notch.

Spring 2009 has ushered in some great new products for DIY home-improvement and for home and business construction.

Marty and Rebecca demonstrate how easy TecTite is to use

Marty and Rebecca demonstrate how easy TecTite is to use

One of the first new products to arrive is TecTite.  These plumbing fittings use the “PUSH” method – pushing together in seconds to create a perfect and sealed joint.  No solder or torches or frustration required!  Guaranteed under a 50-year warranty, TecTite takes the hassle of out of plumbing.  TecTite is also removable, reusable and will join copper tubing, CPVC and PEX.  More information can be found on the TecTite website, or by calling or stopping by NBLC.  We are very happy to have this product and would love to show you how easy it is to use!

Another great product available at NBLC is a brand new line of Rust-Oleum paints.  Rust-Oleum’s line of Painter’s Touch paints are perfect for those everyday household projects.  Fast-drying, with excellent coverage and color retention, Painter’s Touch has a smooth finish and is durable enough for indoor and outdoor projects.  Add a large color pallatte and you have the perfect spray paint for all your general needs.

NBLC Beavers & The BeavThe NBLC Beavers, the first all women’s pond hockey team to play in the New England Pond Hockey Tournament in Rangeley, Maine, met with great success.

Arriving decked out in NBLC jerseys and hunting-orange hats (part of the Rangeley uniform) the women’s team brought a new level of spirit and commitment to the New England Pond Hockey Festival.

The event coordinators put on a spectacular weekend for all involved: teams, supporters, and townspeople who opened their arms to all the hockey players.

A big thank you to the event coordinators and the towns people who made this event so fun!  The North Berwick Lumber Company Beavers had a great time and look forward to bringing more joy and spirit to next years festival.

Thanks! Love, The NBLC Beavers

North Berwick Lumber Company had a successful weekend at the Emery Waterhouse show in Providence, RI this past weekend.  Many new products were examined and we’ll be introducing a few of our favorites over the next couple weeks here at the blog.

Pictures from the weekend are up on Flickr.  They capture a range of activities at the show: from following a buying experience, testing new products, competitions and, yes, even some fun and games. :)

Also coming soon: New England Pond Hockey with the North Berwick Lumber Company Beavers and appearances by The Beav!

Hope your holidays were cheerful and safe. We’ve got some exciting new things coming up in 2009, so stay tuned!

One of the first big events we’re looking forward to is NBLC’s participation in the annual New England Pond Hockey Festival in Rangeley, Maine. NBLC is proud to sponsor a great women’s team and everyone is looking forward to an appearance from The Beav!

For information about this year’s festival, check out the New England Pond Hockey League’s website.
